Service was restored less than two weeks after a bomb attack on the gateway that carries carrying voice and data traffic in and out of Iraq. The bomb was placed inside a cooking oil container and planted March 3 by temporary workers. The gateway carries voice, fax and data services between Baghdad and Globecomm in New York. "Disaster recovery" takes place on a vastly difference scale in Iraq than it does elsewhere, apparently.
