The "CyberCar" -- developed by 15 European research centers -- uses GPS and an onboard computer to drive you around. A laser beam sweeps in front of the car to prevent it from running over small children or furry animals. Town officials in Antibes, France, and Monaco may buy fleets of CyberCars to serve as taxis.
