The idea is that astronauts will talk to the software, while simultaneously the agent gives huge quantities of relevant data to mission control. This should improve the current system whereby Houston has to constantly pester already overloaded astronauts with questions. The research effort is headquartered at NASA Ames Research Center at Moffett Field, which is also here in Sunnyvale, Calif. (and which, in fact, I can see from my office).
Google IPO Says Company 'Won't Be Evil'; Wall Street Confused, Concerned
Google Co-founder Larry Page promises in the company's now famous IPO statement to make the world "a better place," and says the company won't "be evil," which has investors worried. "When you start saying things like this, I think you set yourself up for a fall," said Tom Taulli, an author and lecturer at the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business in a recent AP report. Wall Street has no problem investing in companies that push life-threatening products like alcohol and cigarettes on teenagers, but a company that says it won't be evil is cause for concern.
