Wireless iPod Ad Is Fake

A rumor circulating on the Internet that a leaked Apple ad proves that the company will soon release a Bluetooth iPod is almost certainly false. The "leaked" ad is clearly a modified version of a previous ad. (The ad on top is the supposed "leaked" ad. The ad on the bottom was released last year, and appeared in magazines and on billboards). If Apple were to launch a new wireless version of the iPod, they wouldn't just dust off an old ad and remove the headphone cable with PhotoShop -- but a hoaxer would. (props to Engadget)

System Lets You Do CAD By Playing With Clay

Virtual Reality Lab researchers at the University of Buffalo have created a "virtual clay" system which transfers the pressure on real clay into software based clay, which can be used to create the rough shapes for cars, buildings and consumer electronics products, and later refined with CAD software. A "ModelGlove" has a single touch sensor on the index finger that measures the pressure on the clay, then duplicates that instantly in software.

Only In Japan: Toyota Patents Car With Facial Expressions
Inventors working for Toyota have received a patent for a car that makes facial expressions. The car would have eyebrows over the headlights and a "mouth" underneath and would appear to cry, laugh, wink, or just look around.
