Amazon.com has been granted a patent for software than enables the online retailer to accurately guess your age, sex (yes, please!), birthday, wedding anniversary and other information based on what other people buy for you, what options they specify and when they buy it. Amazon.com apparently plans to use computers to read the cards people write for you, monitor the kind of wrapping paper and gather other information to learn more about you. It's the gift that keeps on giving (to Amazon.com).
